MORE THAN JUST HAIR.

My relationship with my father wasn’t built on ordinary circumstances.

Some of our memories were made during prison visits. As a child, I didn’t fully understand everything life was teaching me, but those moments with my father became part of my story.

Years later, in 2021, we began growing our hair together. Neither of us could have known just how much that decision would eventually mean to me.

When I lost my father, my hair became a connection to the memories we’d created together.

For years, I carried those memories with me. Every inch represented time, experiences and a chapter of my life I could never get back.

Eventually, I made the decision to cut it.

But I didn’t want somebody else to take that first step for me.

I wanted to cut the first pieces myself.

I documented the experience because I wanted to show that healing doesn’t always look the way people expect it to.

Cutting my hair wasn’t about forgetting my father. It was about honoring our memories while allowing myself to begin a new chapter.

Some things you carry forever. Others you learn to let go of.

THE CUT

I’M NOT OK. AND THAT’S OK

For years, I carried pain that the world couldn’t see.

Losing people I loved, fighting battles within myself, and learning how to rebuild my life taught me something important: just because somebody looks okay doesn’t mean they are.

I created I’m Not OK because I wanted people to know they weren’t alone.

This movement is bigger than clothing. It’s about the conversations we’re afraid to have, the emotions we’re taught to hide, and the strength it takes to admit when we’re struggling.

Every shirt, every sticker, and every conversation is another opportunity to remind somebody that their story isn’t over.

You don’t have to pretend to be okay to deserve love, support, or understanding.

IT’S OKAY NOT TO BE OKAY.

YOUR STORY ISN’T OVER.

If you’ve made it this far, I want you to know something.

I didn’t share my story because I have everything figured out. I shared it because I know what it’s like to hurt in silence, to lose people you love, and to wonder how you’re going to make it through another day.

But I’m still here.

And if you’re reading this, so are you.

I’m Not OK isn’t just my story anymore. It’s ours.

Whether you purchase something, share your story, check on somebody you love, or simply find the strength to get through today, you’re part of this movement.

You don’t have to have all the answers. You don’t have to pretend everything is perfect. And you damn sure don’t have to fight every battle alone.

I SURVIVED IT SO I COULD TELL YOU HOW I SURVIVED IT.

Now it’s your turn to keep writing your story.

With love,

SIZZLE
